The EcoBoost model of the 2022 Ford Mustang has a turbo 2.3L four-cylinder engine residing under the hood. It pumps out 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, and it works beautifully with the standard six-speed manual transmission. If you prefer, this engine can also be mated to a 10-speed automatic.
Choosing the Mustang GT will mean getting a hearty 5.0L V8 engine to play with. The output is 450 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, and it has the same engine options as the EcoBoost. You can also choose the Mach 1 model, which has the same engine but with an output of 470 horsepower.
